Grown in a greenhouse or on a sunny balcony. Forms green fruits with red, tasty flesh. Eaten fresh. Good beach food or to take in a picnic basket. Cultivation: Sow indoors in seed soil in March-April. Sow shallowly. Germinates after 5-6 days at 25-30 degrees. Replant in small pots with planting soil. Grow warm, about 20-22 degrees. Plant and tie up the plants gradually or let them splay on the ground. Pick off the first side shoots that come from the bottom. Top the following side shoots after 3 leaves. Pollinate by rubbing male and female flowers against each other.
