Description:
'Black Prince' is a Russian tomato variety that produces medium-sized, dark red to chocolate brown tomatoes with a delicately sweet and slightly tart flavor. The fruits weigh about 150–200 grams and have a soft, juicy texture. This variety is very popular for its rich flavor and unusual color, perfect for salads and fresh dishes.
Packaging: 20–25 seeds.
Sowing time: February–March (pre-cultivation).
Planting: Plant out at the end of May when the risk of frost is over. Suitable for growing in greenhouses or in sheltered, sunny locations.
Sowing depth: 0.5–1 cm.
Plant spacing: 50 cm between plants, 80 cm between rows.
Location: Sunny and warm.
Harvest time: July–September.
Plant height: 150–180 cm (indeterminate).
Use:
Perfect for fresh salads, sandwiches or eating straight from the plant, 'Black Prince' is also an excellent choice for making homemade tomato sauce with a deep, full-bodied flavour.
