A traditional Polish squash variety known for its beautiful, oblong golden yellow fruits that resemble small zeppelins – hence the name. The fruits have a mild and slightly sweet taste and are particularly good for grilling, stuffing or using in gratins and woks. A decorative and productive variety that gives a plentiful harvest throughout the summer.

Culture:
Pre-cultivate indoors in April–May or directly outdoors when the soil is warm and the risk of frost is over. Place in a sunny position and in nutrient-rich, well-drained soil. Water evenly for best growth and harvest regularly for long fruit production.

  • Sowing time: April–May (pre-cultivation) / May–June (direct sowing)

  • Sowing depth: 2–3 cm

  • Plant distance: 60–80 cm

  • Row spacing: 100 cm
