Sweet pea Iłówiecki is an early and sweet variety that develops tall plants with stiff stems and light green pods without the hard skin. The young pods are delicate and tasty, and can be eaten whole, both raw or cooked. The seeds can also be frozen to preserve the flavor. Perfect for salads, as a side dish or for the freezer.

Sowing instructions

Sowing depth: 3–4 cm

• Pre-cultivation: Pre-cultivate in greenhouses from March to April to get an early harvest.
• Direct sowing: Sow seeds directly outdoors from March to April when the soil has warmed and the risk of frost is over.
• Plant spacing: 30–40 x 5 cm to give the plants good air circulation and optimal growing conditions.

Harvest

• Harvest time: June – July
• Harvest when the pods are young and tender for the best flavor. Iłówiecki sweet peas provide a good and long harvest season if cared for properly.
