An exotic delicacy that offers golden yellow, sweet and sour fruits enclosed in beautiful, paper-thin casings. Golden gooseberries – often called Cape gooseberries – are grown for their aromatic fruits that can be eaten fresh, used in desserts or cooked into marmalades and jams .

The plant is large, decorative and thrives best in a greenhouse or in a protected, warm place outdoors. Green fruits can ripen indoors if stored dry and cool.
