The 'Parade' bell pepper – a true garden gem that is not only visually impressive with its unique lance-shaped fruit, but also packs a nutritional punch. This red, greenhouse-grown variety, scientifically known as Capsicum annuum , changes beautifully from green to brilliant red as it ripens and is particularly suitable for pickling.

Cultivation tips

Sowing depth: 0.5 cm

• Pre-culture: Sow the seeds indoors in early spring, around March. Transplant the plants into individual pots when 2–4 leaves have appeared.
• Planting out: When the plants are ready, they can be planted out in greenhouses or tunnels in early May, or wait until the end of the month if they are to be grown outdoors.
• Plant spacing: 40–60 x 30–40 cm

Harvest

• Harvest time: August – September
• Harvest the fruits when they have ripened and turned completely red.
• This variety produces abundant harvests and provides both visual appeal and healthy benefits.
