Description:
Sweet corn 'Minigold' is an excellent choice for garden enthusiasts looking for a rare and tasty corn variety. This very sweet and productive variety produces small, narrow conical cobs that can be harvested before they are fully ripe. The cobs are about 10 to 12 cm long, with small, sugary kernels that make them perfect for eating cooked in salads, alongside meats or in Asian dishes. 'Minigold' is also excellent for canning, where whole cobs can be packed into jars and used in marinades.

Sowing instructions

Sowing depth: 2–3 cm

• Direct sowing: Sow seeds directly outdoors in late spring and early summer, when the risk of late frost is over.
• Soil conditions: Choose a sunny, sheltered location with quick-warming, well-drained, water-retaining soil for best results.

Harvest

• Harvest time: August – September
• Harvest the cobs when they reach 10–12 cm and are filled with small, sweet grains. They can be used immediately or preserved for later use.
