An exotic and beautiful leafy vegetable with a winding habit , dark red stems and large, fleshy leaves. 'Ornamental Red' is as decorative as it is tasty – the leaves have a mild spinach flavour and can be eaten as tender shoots , in salads, or blanched and frozen like regular spinach.

It thrives in warmth and is easy to grow in a greenhouse, conservatory or warm outdoor area . It also works great in large pots with support.
