Agastache rugosa

A fragrant and beautiful herb and medicinal plant with lavender-blue flower buds and a fresh aroma reminiscent of licorice and mint. Korean mint is very popular with pollinators, especially bees and butterflies, and blooms for a long time from summer to autumn.

The leaves can be used fresh in tea, salads and Asian dishes, or dried for later use. An easy-to-grow perennial that thrives in a sunny location and well-drained soil.

Cultivation & Care:

  • Sowing period: March–May (indoors) or direct sowing after frost

  • Sowing: Shallow – do not cover the seeds, they need light to germinate

  • Germination time: 10–20 days at approximately 20 °C
