Chinese chives, also known as garlic chives, are a perennial herb with a mild garlic flavor. It is often used in Asian cooking and both the leaves and flowers are edible. They are great in stir-fries, dumplings, soups, and salads.

Cultivation advice:

  • Sowing time: Pre-cultivate in early spring or direct sow outdoors from April to June

  • Sowing depth: approx. 0.5 cm

  • Row spacing: 30 cm

  • Plant distance: 15 cm

  • Harvest: After 60–90 days, when the leaves are 20–30 cm long. Cut back to about 5 cm and the plant will grow back.

Hardy and easy to overwinter. Provides a steady harvest year after year.
