Iceberg Lettuce Traper

Description:
Iceberg Lettuce Traper is a mid-early variety that develops compact, firm heads with light green, crispy leaves. This hardy and easy-to-grow variety is suitable for both outdoor and greenhouse cultivation. It produces a bountiful harvest and is ideal for salads, sandwiches and as a garnish.

Sowing instructions

Sowing depth: 0.5–1 cm

  • Pre-cultivation: Sow indoors in March-April. Use nutrient-rich seeding soil and keep the soil moist. When the plants have 4–5 leaves, they are ready to be planted out.
  • Sowing time directly in open ground: April – May
  • Planting out pre-grown seedlings: May, when the risk of frost is over.

Plant spacing: 30 x 30 cm

Harvest information

  • Harvest period: June – August
  • Harvest the head when it is fully developed and compact. For best quality, harvest before it starts to crack.
