Amsoi – Red

Latin name: Brassica juncea

Amsoi 'Red' is a colorful Asian leaf vegetable with reddish leaves that add both flavor and color to salads and stir-fries. It has a mild, mustard-like flavor and can be harvested multiple times from the same plant. Both the young leaves and the mature plants are edible.

    – Under glass: March–September
    – Outdoors: mid-July to early September

  • Sowing depth: 0.5–1 cm

  • Row spacing: 20 cm

  • Plant spacing: 20 cm after thinning

  • Harvest time: April–October depending on sowing time

  • Soil type: Nutritious, well-drained and moisture-retaining soil

Cultivation tips:

  • Thinned plants can be eaten as baby leaves.
