Sowing instructions

Sowing depth: 1–2 cm

• Pre-cultivation: Pre-cultivate in greenhouses from March to April for an earlier harvest.
• Direct sowing: Sow directly outdoors in April when the soil is warm enough.
• Planting out: Plant out pre-cultivated plants in May. Chives thrive best in a sunny spot in nutrient-rich, well-drained soil.

Harvest

• Harvest time: May – October
• Cut the leaves off regularly to stimulate new growth and keep the plants lush. Chives can also be frozen for use during the winter.
