A cold-hardy winter lettuce with small, round, spoon-shaped leaves in dark green. The variety "Coquille de Louviers" is particularly appreciated for its mild taste and crispy texture. Perfect as a base in salads during autumn and winter.

Cultivation: Sow directly outdoors from late summer to early fall for harvest in fall and early winter. Can also overwinter under cover. Sow sparsely and keep soil moist for even germination. Cover with non-woven fabric in cold weather.
