A classic Italian radicchio variety from Verona. It forms compact, round heads with deep burgundy leaves and white veins that provide a stunning contrast. The taste is aromatic and slightly bitter, perfect in salads, risotto or grilled. A popular delicacy in Italian cuisine and a beautiful feature in the garden.

Culture:
Sow directly outdoors during June–July. Develops best in late summer and autumn when the red hues become most intense in cooler weather. Thrives in sun to partial shade in nutrient-rich, well-drained soil.
