An unusual and eye-catching cornflower with double flowers in a dark burgundy to almost black shade . 'Black Ball' provides a beautiful contrast to light flowers in the flowerbed and is perfect as a cut flower in dramatic bouquets.

The variety is unpretentious, easy to grow and blooms profusely in the summer. For extra early flowering, you can also sow in the fall in September–October .
