Sweet basil – Annual
Ocimum basilicum

Aromatic annual herb that grows 20–50 cm tall. The fragrant leaves are used fresh or dried and are excellent in salads, sauces, meat and vegetable dishes, pizza and stews. Can be grown both in flower beds and in pots. The plant also acts as a natural insect repellent.
