Basil 'Purple Ruffles'

A decorative and tasty basil with deep purple, ruffled leaves. 'Purple Ruffles' is as beautiful in the kitchen garden as in the flowerbed or pot. The flavour is reminiscent of regular green basil, but has a slightly spicier note - perfect for salads, pasta dishes, pesto or as an edible decoration.

• Height: approx. 30–50 cm
• Grown indoors or outdoors in a sunny location
• Very aromatic and beautiful variety
• 0.5 grams of seeds is enough for about 150 plants

Culture:
• Pre-cultivate indoors March–April
• Sow shallowly in moist soil, just press the seeds in – do not cover.
• Germinates at 20–25 °C after 7–14 days
• Planted out after hardening off when the risk of frost is over
• Thrives best in nutrient-rich, well-drained soil in full sun
