Alpine Aster – Low-growing beauty for the garden

Latin name : Aster alpinus
Alpine Aster is a charming and low-growing flower with beautiful flowers in shades of blue, pink and white. It thrives in rock gardens, rock walls or as an edging plant in the garden. A perfect plant for creating color and life in alpine or mountain-like garden areas. The flowers also make excellent cut flowers and add vibrant color to flower arrangements.

  • Sowing time : February–March (pre-cultivate indoors) or April–May (direct sowing).
  • Flowering time : June–August.
  • Sowing depth : 0.5 cm.
  • Plant spacing : 15–20 cm between plants.
  • Location : Thrives best in sunny to semi-shady locations.
  • Growing tips : Choose well-drained, calcareous soil and keep it slightly moist. It will tolerate dry conditions once established.

Alpine Aster provides a lovely splash of color in the garden and also works great as a cut flower to create beautiful flower arrangements.
